Transforming music production with Salesforce: a case study on Clorce’s rapid deployment

About the client:

Our client during this project was a royalty free music production company, working in the sensory branding industry. The company produces music tracks by combining several track components that can be easily used multiple times to create unique music. Each track and each component requires strict compliance with copyright laws, and often required manual review of extensive documentation before a new system was introduced by Clorce.

To manage the documentation, our client previously used simple Excel sheets for tracking and validating. This process was not only time-consuming, but also lacked a centralized system to store, track, and quickly access critical information. With growing demand for new tracks, the system scaled poorly, making managing documentation difficult and lowering productivity.

Project description:

Recognizing the need for an innovative solution to these challenges, the client sought the expertise of Clorce. The goal was to automate and optimize the process of creating new music tracks from track components (as well as creating the track components themselves), streamline payment processing, and create a personalized system for managing copyright documentation, which would lead to a more efficient production process.

Before engaging with Clorce, the client’s music production process faced several challenges:

  1. Manual documentation review: Confirming copyright compliance for every track component was a labor-intensive process, leading to errors and delays.
  2. Decentralized information: Documentation for track components was stored in multiple Excel sheets, making access to information inefficient.
  3. Inefficient payment processing:The lack of a dedicated payment system caused unnecessary financial complications.
  4. Ineffective artist communication: There was no systematic way to send requests to artists for recording new song components.

The solution:

Using the Salesforce platform, Clorce delivered a system that revolutionized the client’s music production process. In a matter of weeks, Clorce developed and deployed a comprehensive solution addressing the client’s primary concerns:

Results:

The initial version of the system was delivered and deployed in just a few weeks after initial contact. The efficiency and productivity improvements led to significant time savings and reduced overheads, allowing the client to focus on and expand their core music production operations. In the following weeks, Clorce continued to develop and refine the software based on the client’s feedback, regularly deploying new versions.

As core development was finished, the client’s in-house team took over system development and maintenance. The intuitive nature of the Salesforce platform allowed the client to continue expanding and customizing the system independently, with additional guidance and empowerment from Clorce.
